Fayetteville, Ga. (December 27, 2013) – The Piedmont Fayette Hospital Auxiliary awarded the 2013 Spirit of Volunteerism Award to Auxiliary member Darlene LaBine, who has logged over 3,000 hours of volunteer service since the hospital opened in 1997.
The Spirit of Volunteerism award is given annually to an auxiliary member who unselfishly demonstrates care and concern for others while volunteering. Volunteers are nominated by Piedmont Fayette’s Auxiliary members, employees and physicians, and the winner is selected by the Spirit of Volunteerism Committee.
LaBine has been a Piedmont Fayette Hospital Auxiliary member since 1997 and is known for her servant heart and willingness to “go above and beyond” when volunteering. As a volunteer, she has given hospital tours and worked in various roles in the emergency department, medical records office and the radiology department.
LaBine was one of four volunteers nominated for the award. The other nominees were Adele Andrews, Mary Brunso and Amby Jordan. To learn more about volunteering at Piedmont Fayette Hospital, call 770.719.7098 or visit www.piedmontfayette.org.
