Kevin W. Davis, M.D. earned his medical degree from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. He completed his general surgery internship and residency at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine in Huntington, WV. While there he held the position of chief surgical resident at three local hospitals.
Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians, Dr. Davis practiced at the PAPP Clinic and before that, he practiced in North and South Carolina for seven years. While in North Carolina, he served as Lee County’s Medical Examiner. Dr. Davis has received numerous professional honors for his outstanding work with the North Carolina and South Carolina Medical Societies and the Newberry County Medical Association.
Dr. Davis is a board certified general surgeon and is a current member of the Medical Association of Atlanta. He has special interest in minimally invasive abdominal surgery including totally laparoscopic colon resection, anti-reflux procedures, and ventral/inguinal hernia repair. He also has extensive experience in endoscopy, breast surgery, thyroid and parathyroid endocrine surgery, and incision-free hemorrhoid surgery.
In his free time, Dr. Davis enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, reading and watching movies.
Dr. Davis welcomes new patients and accepts most major insurance plans.
