Thank you to all of our nurses who take care of our patients every day! You are all rock stars!
I would like to thank all the nurses in ICU (red), CCU on the 3rd floor and 3rd floor nurses. The nurses in all this areas have been wonderful. They have taken care of my father who is still there. They have always been kind, friendly and helpful to my mother and family. Thank you for all your hard work and long hours. Our family appericates you. Hope you all have a wonderful week.
Nurse Sonia in the Er was wonderful when my daughter had seizures. We ended up moving to Egleston after she had a second one. Sonia calmed us down and made sure we understood what was happening. Parents of Megan Nelson
I first met Carrie Dawkins at church and thought she was an awesome person. After finding out that she works at Piedmont as a nurse, I know patients and everyone would love her because she is such a loving person.
Oh where to begin? My husband Jack has been a patient at Piedmont Mountainside many many times and he has had soooo many great nurses! Justin, David, Michelle, Aubrey and Julie, just to name a few! They made me feel like they cared just as much about my husband's well being as I did. That took so much pressure off of me. That meant I could go home and tend to our young sons without worrying myself to death about Jack the whole time. That really means SO much, and I really can't thank you all enough! I also want to give a big thank you to Dr. Barrett's nurse Connie! She puts up with a lot from us and she ROCKS!

I received my second kidney transplant at Piedmont Hospital December 17th 2012. I want to thank and wish all my nurses a Happy Nurses Week! You are the greatest people on this Earth! I love you all! Keep up your astounding work as I know you will!
I would like to thank Mike Queen in Pre-Op. I had to have surgery for the first time, thankfully it wasn't as serious as many other employees have experienced. My gall bladder needed to be removed and I had not given much thought to this outpatient procedure until I was in the pre-op holding area. Dr. Mims had already done an outstanding job of answering all of my questions and setting my mind so much at ease, I was not concerned. When you are getting prepped you start to realize it could be serious, but Mike Queen was very calm and reassuring to me. He also said how great Dr. Mims was at this surgery, so I felt right at home with no worries. That warm, friendly demeanor is the last thing you remember before your surgery, and it makes all the difference.
Want to say A special thank you to NICU nurses: Amanda Wall and Marilyn Kohler for their prompt response in assisting us with Labs on a 2-week infant in need on care....

Thanks to a GREAT nurse!
This thank you is for Terrie Promis, for the outstanding care and commitment I have witnessed her demonstrate on many different occasions. So very often Terrie's dedication and care has made the difference between having a medical issue, and having a medical emergency. She is cool headed and quick thinking, allowing her to provide her patients with exceptional care. Her steadfast reliability and knowledge must surely make her an indispensable asset to all her patients, as well as to her fellow staff members at Piedmont! GOD bless you Terrie for going the extra mile, time after time, and day after day!
The nurses at Piedmont in my opinion are the best in the city! They don't just do their jobs, they put their hearts into it. Almost six years ago, I suffered a cardiac arrest in the bathroom of Piedmont Labor and Delivery. Thanks to the quick work of the nurses (and doctors), they saved my life and my daughter's life. I wish I knew their specific names to thank them. A couple of days later, I woke up in ICU green. Angela, Cristal and Pauletta were my nurses (plus one more whose name I do not recall) and helped me (and my family) through the scary ordeal. They were so kind and patient with me as I was trying to understand what had happened. Finally, I want to thank the amazing nurses in the NICU who loved and cared for my baby before I was able to do so. They helped my husband immensely. Today, my family is happy and healthy. I am forever grateful to Piedmont and its nurses for the care they gave to my family. Honestly, there isn't a day that I don't drive by the hospital and think of what they did for me. Thank you for the opportunity to thank the nurses this week.
I would like to thank the wonderful nurses on 2 north/oncology, who took such great care of me when I was hospitalized with breast cancer, then complications with chemotherapy. It was really difficult being on the receiving end of the care, rather than being the caregiver. I am an RN and have worked at Piedmont for 14 years, and I am so touched by the kindness, and the caring hearts we have here. So again, BIG thanks to all my caregivers on 2 north. I wouldn't have made it without you!!
Glenn, thanks for all your help being superNAN on May 8th
I am a Cardiovascular Critical Care Physician Assistant at the hospital (ATL). For those of you that do not know, the nursing profession can be a grind at times. The Critical Care nurses work to care for the sickest of the sick, sometimes even when they themselves are ill. All of these nurses are extraordinary human beings who practice their craft with great compassion and enthusiasm despite long hours with extended time away from their own families. On a personal level, the Piedmont Hospital Critical Care nurses are very gentle, courteous, professional, and caring individuals who are always willing to help beyond the call of duty. Not only do these nurses save patients....they save me as well! THANK YOU NURSES!!!
I appreciate what you do for us in Fire/EMS and what you do for the patients. It can be tuff. Thanks.
Happy nurses week to all of my colleagues across the Piedmont system. Special thanks to the nurses at Piedmont Henry and the Critical Care Unit.
Thank you all the care and much needed help in the past. God bless you as do you job!
