The Best Babysitter is a Safe Sitter!
NEWNAN, Ga. (July 15, 2008) – Piedmont Newnan Hospital is offering the SAFE SITTER babysitting class, a medically accurate, hands-on, class that teaches boys and girls ages 11 to 13 how to handle emergencies when caring for children. The SAFE SITTER class will be held July 31 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Magic Room at Piedmont Newnan Hospital at 60 Hospital Road in Newnan. Participants will learn what to do when a child chokes; safety for the sitter; how to call for emergency help; babysitting business skills; basic childcare skills such as diapering and feeding, and how to entertain children and keep them safe.
Registration is required at least two business days prior to the class by calling 770-254-3668 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The fee for the one-day program is $50 and includes a messenger bag, student manual, flashlight, and other helpful tools.
