Dr. Mark Johnson is the program director of Piedmont Transplant Institute, surgical director of liver transplantation, chairman of the department of transplantation and clinic professor of surgery at Mercer University School of Medicine. He specializes in liver, kidney and pancreas transplantation surgery as well as hepatobiliary surgery. Dr. Johnson’s specialties include liver, kidney and pancreata transplantation as well as hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery.
Dr. Johnson received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, where he also performed his residency. He performed his fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr.Johnson is a board-certified transplantation surgeon and has taught at hospitals and universities throughout the Southeast, including Mercer University and University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He has presented on a myriad of topics over 80 times across the U.S. and has been published 19 times with contributions to more than 30 text books.
