Biography
Marty Sellers, M.D. multiorgan transplant surgeon and Director, Hepatobiliary Service at Piedmont Hospital, joined Piedmont from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where he was associate professor and surgical director of renal transplantation at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Seller's medical career also includes transplant work and teaching experience at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham.

Currently, Dr. Sellers is working to improve liver, bile duct and pancreas cancer patient outcomes as Director of Piedmont Hospital's Hepatobiliary Service. With his leadership, this multidisciplinary service brings hope to patients diagnosed with hepatobiliary malignancies. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Public Health to minimize the impact of these diseases, and also to maximize organ donation, using a public health approach.

In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Sellers is also a member of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons, International Liver Cancer Association, Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association and American Public Health Association.

Dr. Sellers graduated cum laude from Auburn University with a bachelor of science degree and received his medical degree from and completed his general surgery residency at the University of Alabama School of Medicine, where he also completed an NIH-sponsored research fellowship in surgical oncology. He completed his clinical fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
