FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. (October 11, 2010)—Piedmont Fayette Hospital has named Marlin Seay director of its new comprehensive Cancer Center. In this role he is responsible for developing the portfolio of Piedmont’s cancer services, including radiation therapy, chemotherapy, infusion services and Cancer Wellness programs.
“The addition of the Piedmont Fayette Hospital Cancer Center fulfills a great need in the Fayette and surrounding communities,” said Darrell Cutts, president and CEO of Piedmont Fayette Hospital. “Marlin’s leadership and direction will develop the best cancer services for years to come. We are already seeing new radiation therapy patients who prefer the convenience of treatment options closer to home as well as the faster treatment times and precision offered by our state-of-the-art Varian RapidArc™ Linear Accelerator.”
Seay earned his master of healthcare administration from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla., and holds a bachelor’s degree in biological science from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla. He is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Georgia Association of Healthcare Executives.
