Piedmont Healthcare supports activities and programs that promote health and wellness in the communities we serve. Requests are considered on a case-by-case basis, as community benefit resources are limited. We will do our best to assist you in finding support from the hospitals within Piedmont Healthcare to meet your needs.
We adhere to the Internal Revenue Service Standards for what constitutes a community benefit, meaning all of our community benefit activities must respond to the needs of vulnerable populations, respond to public health needs and/or involve education that improves overall community health. Please review the following additional guidelines before submitting your request.
We can only provide in-kind and grant support to nonprofit organizations, and cannot provide support to for-profit groups or individuals.
Our efforts target first vulnerable populations (the uninsured, underinsured, low-income, minorities, and those with complex or chronic conditions) second, the overall community. We do not provide support to activities or programs targeting insured populations.
If requesting assistance with an event, requests must be made at least six weeks prior to the date of your event.
Our community benefit program is unable to provide services to an employer-based health fair or screening activity in which the employees are insured. For that type of event, please contact the Piedmont Healthcare marketing department at (678) 842-6101.
To request support for your activity, we will need you to fill out a request form. Please note that we’re not able to review your request without a completed application. Contact us at CommunityPrograms@piedmont.org, and we’ll respond to you within three business days.
