JASPER, GA. (December 1, 2011) - Piedmont Mountainside Hospital plans to honor former Auxiliary member and Jasper, Ga. resident, Billy Ledford, by flying his memorial flag in front of the hospital December 1 to 31. A United States Navy veteran and active Auxiliary member, Ledford passed away July 9, 2011 at the age of 76. The flag was presented to Mr. Ledford’s wife, Donna Ledford, following military honors at his memorial service.
“This hospital and this community are forever grateful to the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital Auxiliary and dedication of individuals like Mr. Billy Ledford,” said Mike Robertson, president and CEO of Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. “Flying his memorial flag at this hospital provides us the unique opportunity to honor his family while recognizing his service both to his country and his community.”
