Stockbridge, Ga. (May 3, 2013) – Cancer Wellness at Piedmont Henry Hospital will host cooking demonstrations in May and June aimed at helping patients battling cancer.
The Easy. Flavorful. Meatless. cooking demonstration will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from noon to 2 p.m. in the hospital’s Foundation Education Center. Chef Lana Carr will teach participants sensational plant-based recipes that are filling, satisfy cravings and come together quickly. Plant foods have the most power when fighting cancer; therefore, making at least one day a week meatless will be an easy, delicious and smart choice in your cancer-fighting diet.
Next month, the Fast. Fresh. French Inspirations. cooking demonstration will be held on Wednesday, June 19 from noon to 2 p.m. in the hospital’s Foundation Education Center. Participants will learn that French food doesn’t always mean heavy sauces and lots of butter. Chef Nancy Waldeck will show participants how to take traditional French peasant fare and turn it into bright, fresh flavors and tastes that are healthy, easy and delicious.
