National Volunteer Week April 10-16
JASPER, Ga. (April 8, 2011) – Piedmont Mountainside would not be the place that it is today without its volunteers. Auxiliary volunteers always offer a familiar and friendly face to the patients and visitors of Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. Their dedication and selflessness to the hospital is evident whether they are in the gift shop, performing clerical work in the office, assisting patients and visitors in the hospital, driving the courtesy shuttle or raising funds for a variety of hospital projects.
"Piedmont Mountainside Hospital is a not-for-profit organization which relies on the community for support,” said Mike Robertson, president and CEO of Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. “Our volunteers help us to serve a vital role in the community and fulfill our promise to provide good care to our patients every single day."
In recognition of National Volunteer Week, April 10-16, Piedmont Mountainside Hospital is shining the spotlight on its dedicated Auxiliary volunteers. In recognition of their service, Piedmont Mountainside’s volunteers will be presented with a gift of acknowledgement. Members of the community that have benefited from volunteer services at the hospital are also invited to share their appreciation on Facebook.
