National Volunteer Week April 10-16.
NEWNAN, Ga. (April 8, 2011) – When many people think of a hospital, they almost immediately think of the medical staff and employees who work there. Hospital volunteers are also an important part of the healthcare team at Piedmont Newnan Hospital, and during National Volunteer Week, April 10-16, Piedmont Newnan Hospital is shining the spotlight on its dedicated Auxiliary. The Auxiliary volunteers are familiar and friendly faces at Piedmont Newnan, whether they are in the gift shop, assisting patients and visitors at the information desk or raising funds for a variety of hospital projects.
"Piedmont Newnan Hospital is a not-for-profit organization which relies on our community for support,” said Michael Bass, president and CEO of Piedmont Newnan Hospital. “We are grateful to our community members who volunteer at Piedmont Newnan, giving their time and energy to help us fulfill our promise of providing excellent care to our patients."
Those who would like to express their appreciation to Piedmont Newnan Hospital’s volunteers are invited to share words of thanks on Facebook. Piedmont Newnan Hospital can be found at facebook.com/PiedmontNewnanHospital.
