JASPER, Ga. (April 21, 2011)—Piedmont Physicians Group welcomes new partner Mark A. Supan, M.D., to Piedmont Physicans Obstetrics and Gynecology, home to the Women’s Specialty Center of North Georgia. He will be joining Karen Hamilton-Grimes, M.D.; Vincent G. Molinari, M.D. and Allison Ward, M.D. in the office at 220 J.L. White Drive in Jasper, Ga. Dr. Supan will be seeing patients beginning April 1.
“Dr. Supan’s experience and expertise will be a strong addition to the Piedmont Physicians Obstetrics and Gynecology group, as well as to the North Georgia community,” said Berney Crane, CEO of Piedmont Medical Care Corporation, the administrative parent corporation of the Piedmont Physicians Group. “We look forward to him joining the Women’s Specialty Center of North Georgia and adding his expertise to the suite of services already available through the center.”
Dr. Mark Supan earned his bachelor’s degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology before going on to medical school at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He completed his internship with the Atlanta Medical Center’s department of obstetrics and gynecology, and his residency at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Supan was awarded the 2010 Resident of the Year Award for Excellent Undergraduate Teaching in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the Medical College of Georgia.
