Fayetteville, Ga. (June 28, 2012) – Piedmont Fayette Hospital Fitness Center is proud to offer SilverSneakers®, the nation’s leading exercise program designed exclusively for older adults.
Having partnered with the nationally recognized Healthways SilverSneakers® Fitness Program, Piedmont Fayette Hospital Fitness Center is now able to help older adults increase their levels of physical activity while motivating them to remain active.
“By participating in the SilverSneakers® program, older adults in Fayetteville will have complete access to our fitness center and all it has to offer,” said Jamie Turner, lead exercise physiologist at Piedmont Fayette Hospital Fitness Center. “They’ll also be able to attend the popular SilverSneakers® classes, designed specifically for older adults, here every Friday and Sunday.”
SilverSneakers® is available at little or no additional cost (beyond any monthly premium) to eligible Medicare health plan and group retiree members. Many older adults are able to get free membership for fitness centers offering SilverSneakers® program through their insurance.
