Atlanta, Ga. (May 2, 2012) – Seven Piedmont Heart Institute physicians recently were named as top cardiologists in the region and nation by U.S. News & World Report.
Of these physicians, two Piedmont Heart general cardiologists and three interventional cardiologists were named to a highly selective list of America’s Top Doctors (ATD) by achieving national recognition for outstanding work and landing in the top one percent in the nation. They are:
In addition to these physicians, Nirav Raval, M.D. (general cardiologist) and Vivek Rajagopal, M.D. (interventional cardiologist) were named among the top 10 percent in the region.

According to U.S. News & World Report, there are 2,078 cardiologists on the list of U.S. News Top Doctors. All the physicians named to this list were selected based on a peer nomination process.
