Atlanta, Ga. (April 3, 2013) – Piedmont Physicians Group welcomes Dinganè Baruti, M.D., as the new medical director of the Piedmont Immediate Care clinic located at 101 Yorktown Dr., Suite 110 in Fayetteville, Ga.
Dr. Baruti brings 21 years of service in the U.S. Army and experience as medical director of four clinics on Sand Hill in Fort Benning, Georgia, to Piedmont Immediate Care. The clinic, which is focused on providing unscheduled, walk-in care to patients with minor, unexpected or temporary health problems, boasts wait times of approximately 30 minutes, thanks to a team of quick-responding, licensed medical professionals like Dr. Baruti.

Piedmont Immediate Care treats patients with abrasions; allergic reactions; animal bites; bladder infections; cough, cold or sore throat; minor burns; eye, ear and nose infections; fever or flu symptoms; sinus infections; mild asthma; muscle strains; joint sprains; skin infections, rashes, skin lesions and more. It is recommended that those experiencing problems with eyes, limbs or life-threatening conditions go to the nearest emergency room.
Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians, Dr. Baruti practiced at Physician’s Immediate Med. Dr. Baruti holds a license from the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Urgent Care Association of America and the National Medical Association. He also holds two U.S. patents for his work in developing the FlowBrush Asthma Surveillance Tele-medicine (F.A.S.T.) system.
Dr. Baruti earned his medical degree from Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. He completed his residency at Martin Army Community Hospital and received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis.
Dr. Baruti and his clinical team are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Piedmont Immediate Care, 101 Yorktown Dr., Suite 110.
