Atlanta, Ga. (March 13, 2013) – Piedmont Physicians Group welcomes board-certified urologist Micah S. Blackmon, M.D., to the Piedmont Physicians Urology Specialists practice located 775 Poplar Road, Suite 160 in Newnan, Ga.
“Dr. Blackmon is a solid addition to our growing urology team,” said Berney Crane, president of Piedmont Medical Care Corporation, the parent company of Piedmont Physicians Group. “His experience in robotic and laparoscopic surgery will be of great benefit to patients in the Coweta community.”
Dr. Blackmon’s special interests include endourology/percutaneous stone surgery, surgical and medical management of erectile dysfunction, and robotic and laparoscopic surgery.
Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians, Dr. Blackmon was a physician with Halifax Health Center for Urology, located in Daytona Beach, Fla. He is board certified with the American Board of Urology and is a member of the American Urological Association.
Dr. Blackmon earned his medical degree from the University of Miami, School of Medicine in Miami. He then went on to complete his general surgery internship and urology residency at the Medical College of Georgia. He received his undergraduate degree in microbiology and cell science from the University of Florida.
