Dr. Harris is a board-certified family medicine physician with over ten years of experience. As a graduate of Nova Southeastern University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, she believes in treating the whole person and encourages you to prevent illness and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Harris completed her internship and residency in Family Medicine at Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, South Carolina.
Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians Group, Dr. Harris was in practice in the small town of Newberry, South Carolina, caring for newborns up through seasoned adults; she worked in the urgent care center in Locust Grove, Georgia, and also worked at Total Care Family Medicine with Tanner Health System in Douglasville, Georgia.
In addition to her medical experiences, Dr. Harris was also a cadet at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York, is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., was a middle school mathematics teacher, a middle school girl's basketball coach, a Varsity girls volleyball coach and a Varsity boys/girls tennis coach.
She is an active member of both the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians and she continues to be an active participant in local community activities.
