Piedmont Healthcare, Inc. (PHC) is the parent company of Piedmont Henry Hospital and other subsidiary hospitals and corporations. Piedmont Healthcare is governed by a Board of Directors, made up of 16 members - the majority of whom are non-insider (community) directors. The obligation of the PHC Board is to ensure that the resources and capacities of PHC are deployed in a manner that promotes community benefit and health status.
Piedmont Henry Hospital Leadership Team
Charles F. Scott became President and Chief Executive Officer of Piedmont Henry in March 2007. He has over 32 years of experience as a healthcare executive, including nine years as President and CEO. Most recently, Scott served as the President and CEO of Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, LA. Scott received his bachelor's degree from Princeton University and his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
Jeff A. Cooper began his tenure at Piedmont Henry in September 1992 and currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer. Cooper has a B.S. in Health Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech and a M.S. in Health Administration from Central Michigan University. An active member of the community, Cooper is a past president of the Henry County Rotary Club and serves on the Henry County Chamber's Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors.
Dr. Jagdeep Singh
Dr. Jagdeep Singh began his role as Chief Medical Officer at Piedmont Henry in January 2012. Dr. Singh brings approximately five years of experience as a VPMA in two healthcare systems. He completed a residency in Family Practice in Sylvania, Ohio, and a Fellowship in Emergency Medicine at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, TN. Prior to becoming a VPMA, Dr. Singh was an emergency physician as well as the EMS Medical Director in Columbus, GA. Dr. Singh has an MBA in the Physician Executive Program from Auburn University and is a Certified Physician Executive (CPE) and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
Frances Marthone was named Chief Nursing Officer at Piedmont Henry Hospital in December 2013. She brings 28 years of experience, 25 of them in leadership, in the healthcare industry to Piedmont Henry. Before coming to Piedmont, Marthone served as Vice President of Medical Services at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Ga. Marthone earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Simmons College in Boston, Mass. and a master’s degree in nursing administration from Albany State University. Marthone will complete a doctorate in nursing philosophy from Georgia State University in June 2014.
Sherry Henderson joined Piedmont Henry Hospital as Chief Financial Officer in June 2013. She brings with her 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including most recently, serving as CFO at North Fulton Regional Medical Center in Atlanta. Henderson has a bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University and her M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix.
