Dr. Matthew Mulloy is a multi-organ transplant surgeon at Piedmont Transplant Institute. His special interests include liver, kidney and pancreas transplantation, robotic living donor nephrectomy and hepatobiliary surgery.
Dr. Mulloy received his bachelor of arts degree in molecular biology from Kenyon College in Gambier, OH. He obtained his doctor of medicine degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He then completed his internship and residency in general surgery at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. During the course of his residency, Dr. Mulloy completed a two-year research fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in the department of Cardiac and Thoracic surgery. Following his general surgery residency, Dr. Mulloy completed his abdominal transplant surgery fellowship at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
Dr. Mulloy is board certified as a general surgeon and previously served as an assistant professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He has lent his talents to several publications, committees and speaking engagements.
