For more than 100 years, Piedmont Hospital has provided world-class care to patients in Atlanta and throughout Georgia and the Southeast. Our commitment to outstanding care and compassion for those we serve is our continuing legacy to the community. It is a commitment we take very seriously.
As a not-for-profit organization, Piedmont Hospital has no owners or shareholders; we are accountable to those we serve. All hospital earnings go directly back into maintaining and improving services and facilities, and to educational outreach and research activities. We invest in:
To maintain high levels of service, we must be good stewards of our earnings. We regularly assess our average charges to ensure they are competitive in the marketplace. We also contract together with our physicians to secure fair and reasonable rates from insurers for hospital and physician care. We accept all major insurance providers, including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia, United Healthcare, CIGNA, Aetna, Humana, Kaiser Permanente and others in addition to Medicare and Medicaid.
Please refer to A Guide to Your Hospital Bill and Payment Policies, our application for financial assistance and guidelines for qualifying for charity assistance for more information.
